- Boat cruises on Lake Kyoga can be arranged on request.
- Rock climbing in Agule and Kameke Hills.
- Site seeing at the famous Gogonyo Palm farm.
- Bird watching in Gogonyo, Lake Opeta and Lake Kyoga wetlands.
- A variety of wildlife is present that includes Vervet monkeys,
crocodiles and hippos.
- Caves used by hundreds of people during the insurgence can be
visited nearby.
-Sports: Hiking opportunities
are abundant. There are numerous areas where trails lead to rocky
ridges and caves overlooking Lake Kyoga, Kumi and Soroti districts;
and a variety of interesting birds, in Gogonyo Rocks.
- Boating and Fishing: Boating and fishing are also options
with improved lake access on Kyoga. Pallisa has many dirt roads
and trails , which lend themselves perfectly to biking.
- Mountain Climbing: the hotel offers a star base before
and after week long treks to the top of Mount Elgon in neighbouring
Mbale. Alternatively, the hotel can sponsor shorter two day hikes
to Mount Elgon National Park and to Sipi Falls.
- Bird Watching: There are many wetland birds present for
viewing by land or boat. The local authorities propose to include
a wetlands restoration project and swamp walk in the overall planning
effort of Pallisa's tourism efforts, similar to that which has
been developed by the community around Magombe Swamp near Kibale
Forest National Park.
